December Daily: Project Life style

This year I decided to use the Merry and Bright Mini Kit as my December Daily album!  I bought the kit through HSN this fall, but I am am not sure if they are still selling them or not there!  You can get the mini kit at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Amazon, and I am sure anywhere else PL is sold:)

This is the first year that I haven't done a Project Life album in four years! I am so sad about it, but honestly it has been one of those years.  We were living with my mother in law the first part of the year, I was pregnant, we moved into a new home, I had a baby, and life was just really busy.  I don't want to forget all of these important memories so I plan to do several of these mini kits for those important events and even some of those everyday moments!  I hope I can get all of these done but we will see!

On to some of my layouts.  I am really sorry I am not very good at taking my pictures with my camera!  I tried to take them by the door and it still doesn't look great!
This is the opening page.  We had Christmas pictures taken this year and I am waiting to get them back so that we can put them in here!
This is some of the decor in our new home! I have loved decorating our house for Christmas this year, but I am hoping to get a few more things after Christmas when they go on sale:)  I am missing the picture of our upstairs tree which I plan to print this weekend!
I started my DD on November 29th because that is when we decorated our tree and Minnie the Elf made her first appearance!

I love the Merry and Bright kit because I am such a fan of nontraditional Christmas colors!  I know some aren't but I really like them!
I enjoyed working on this album this past weekend and I sure can't wait to see it progress each week!  I hope you enjoyed looking at my layouts:)

Create It Thursday: Monster Plate

I have been wanting to make Kendall and Kole a Halloween plate for a few weeks now and I finally got around to it tonight!!  I found a picture of monster hands and used that as inspiration!
I forgot that it is near impossible to get a newborn to unclench their fists so we did Kole's feet instead and I LOVE the way it turned out!!
I just got paint from Hobby Lobby to do this myself!  All you do is use their paint, let it dry for four days, and then follow the baking instructions on the back of the paint!!

Hope you enjoyed and check out more fun DIYs on Lambert Lately's blog!!

Project Life: Just Add Color

I was able to finally try out the new PL Just Add Color edition and I must say I do love it!!

I also decided that I love the idea of mixing kits in my books now, which can lead to a not good addiction:)

So, I decided to use this kit to start out some of Kole's first day pictures.  I love  how it turned out and had a lot of fun putting this together and choosing all of my 2X2 cards!

So, here is what I came up with!

Sorry I am not the best at taking these pictures I can never seem to get the glare of the page protectors off!

Here is my first page:  Very simple just a few pictures of Kole right after he was born and some journaling!

And the second page:  Again very simple, and I choose to use all of the black and white cards on this side and love how it turned out:)

I will also add in an envelope to include his hospital bracelets and other pieces that we brought home from the hospital!
I think I will continue to use this kit for Kole's baby book, but will also find another "boyish" kit to add in. I am going to use this in Kendall's as well and I also have the Honey edition to use with Kendall's book!
Are you using PL for your babies?

Have you bought the Just Add Color kit?!!

One Month!

It seems absolutely crazy to me that this little man is one month old already! It goes so fast I already know that but it's still insane:)

I decided to take his monthly pictures with his gray chair and a chalk board that will calculate his monthly weight!

I was terrible about updating Kendall's book monthly, so I am hoping that I can do a monthly post about Kole and keep up with it that way....we all know how well I am at keeping up with things!!

So, here goes nothing!

Currently:

Wearing: 0-3 month clothing

Eating: EVERY 3 hours and gaining plenty of weight! Which also means he is waking up every three hours!  Which also means mommy is still not sleeping:)

Sleeping in mommy and daddy's room in the bassinet

Seems to enjoy his bath that Kendall and I love to give him!

Content for a good 10-20 minutes laying under the activity mat.

Currently doesn't enjoy a paci and we are working on it!!!

Met his new baby cousin this month whom is 2 weeks younger than him and 6 pounds lighter (Miles was a premie)

Went to Huber's to do some pumpkin picking!

Showing us sweet smiles when sleeping.

Has a big sister that just adores him!

Have a great weekend!!

Project Life Tuesday: December Daily Preparation

I have been way way behind on my Project Life.  Sad sad, but I am trying to catch up and of course I took advantage of the HSN kits including the Merry and Bright Kit and The Just Add Color Kit.  Both of which I LOVE!!

So, for the past week I have been working on getting my Merry and Bright Kit ready for December Daily.  I love doing December Daily with Ali Edwards:)  It looks like she has released a kit with Studio Calico also!

I decided to use my Merry and Bright Kit for my December Daily album.

So, let's take a look at what I did!!

The first thing I did was think about how I need to set the album up, as in how many pages I needed for each day.

I decided to do half a page for the weekdays, a full page for the weekends, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

I also decided to use the first page to put our Christmas Card and the first full page to put pictures of our Christmas tree and house decorations!

So, here is what I came up with!

This is where our Christmas card will go!!
 Decorating our tree.

Notes:
1.  I will rearrange for sure as I actually start taking pictures for my December Daily:)
2.  I haven't put all of my cards in yet, because I am not sure how many pictures I will have for each day!

The best part about using PL is being able to rearrange as I work on it in December!!

I can't wait to start my December Daily with pictures!  I love the holidays!!

And here is a look at the other two albums I have completed in past years!

A sweet Baby boy is Born

It's been quite a while since I blogged!  Between, work, moving, pregnancy, and a toddler I have barely sat down at my computer at all this summer!!

But, believe it or not I have two sleeping babies in my house at the same time right now:)

And I am just sitting for once too!

So, I thought I would share some sweet pictures of my babies!

Kole was born on September 5 weighing in at a nice 9 pounds 2 ounces!! Never in my life did I imagine I would give birth to a 9 pound baby.

We already love him to pieces and he is fitting right in around here!

Enjoy a few sweet pictures of our new family!
 Our sweet baby boy!
Kendall loves her baby.  It is taking some adjusting but I think she is getting there.  When she gets tired we battle a little, but she loves helping with everything when it comes to Kole!

Our family of four!  Couldn't be more blessed:)

I hope to get back to some what of a blogging schedule because I do enjoy looking at my old posts, but I just don't know how often I will make it happen!!!

Make It Thursday: 4Th July Wreath

Now that we are getting a little more settled in our home I have been trying to create a few things I want for our home!  I love making wreaths for our front door!

Today using this Pinterest inspired Pin:

I made this wreath! (It's been storming here since I made the wreath so I couldn't get a good pic sorry!!)

It was really quite easy.  All I did was tie mesh ribbon around the Styrofoam wreath!

Using George and Basic Shapes I cut out three stars from my Cricut to add to the blue!

I love how it turned out and I will keep it up til the end of July:)

Father's Day Gifts

We have been busy around here making a few father's day gifts so I thought I would share with you what we have made!!

First we made these!!  They were really easy and lots of fun!!  Here is our inspiration from Pinterest of Course!!

And here is what we came up with:
Chris will love using this when he grills, which is our new favorite summer time activity:)

Secondly, we created these for Papaws and daddy!!  I know these ideas are swimming all over the web, but this is what we came up with:

I am going to print the papaws out as 5X7 and put them in a frame.  For Kendall's I am going to print hers as 3 4X6 pictures and get a frame for them! I think they will all love them!!

Happy Father's day!!
