Pinterest: Recipe

I LOVE Pinterest, but I want to make sure it's not something just wastes my time!! Therefore, I try to do and make a few things I pin each week!! So, I found these,

I could not pass up making them they were so easy to make!  And oh my sooo yummy. Although they are more calories than what I like a snack to be they are filling and better than eating a box of candy:)  So, here's how I made them.  Click on the picture though to be taken to the actual recipe from the original blog.

Here are my ingredients; peanut butter, honey, vanilla, coconut flakes, flaxseed, and mini chocolate chips.
First you mix ALL those ingredients together (Again click on the pin so that you can get exact measurements of the recipe!)  Once you mix let chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Next, I used my cookie scooper and scooped out 24 scoops of this yumminess!
I just scooped it straight to wax paper and when I put them in a container I didn't separate them so I sure hope they didn't stick all together!
Lastly, I just rolled my scoops into ball and there you have it!!

I figured up that two of these is 250 calories.  I think they are a pretty good size and like I said they are filling.  I am sure you could substitute things (raisins, craisins, etc.) to make it a little healthier, but I think they are perfect just like so!!

If you make them please let me know what you think!!

Linking up to Met Monday...thanks for stopping by:)

Have a great week.

I have had these pinned for awhile but haven't made time to make them yet. I don't think I realized how easy they were! Thanks for the inspiration.

I saw these on pinterest, too, and I was tempted to make them. I mention them to my boss and his wife told me that I shouldn't make anything with commercial peanut butter. She has been on a big health kick for the last 9 years as a marathon runner for the last 8. But she hadn't lost any more weight for the last 7 years until she began consulting with a new trainer that is part of a nutrition group this past year. BOY what a difference it has made. She lost 30 lbs in 7 months doing less exercise and eating more. They changed what she eats and the type of exercises she does. Anyway, she said to eat Almond Butter. I live in Austin, a health nut center (Whole Food began here)so I am familiar with almond butter and told her I didn't like it. I don't like having to mix my peanut/almond butter. She showed me a type of Almond butter, that is pre-mixed that our local HEB grocery store carries right next to the Jiffy. I tried it. It is good. The taste is a bit different, but I figure her results speak for themselves that little changes in diet could make a big difference bc I am sure she is not exercising more. It wouldn't have been possible for her to do so. She use to train all the time so it has to be her dietary changes that allowed her to lose the weight this year.

Thought I'd share the tip.

Dropped by after you left a very sweet comment on my backyard remodel post. I thought I would reciprocate. :D

We are following your blog now.

I just saw these on Pinterest this morning... what a coincidence! I'm going to the grocery store this morning and will grab the supplies. And I couldn't agree more about Pinterest... I try to do a number of the things I pin!
