8 Months Later

I just have to say that I really REALLY can't believe that this is me January 3 and yesterday August 29!! Doesn't even seem possible that I was that big and that out of shape. Yes I had a baby 9 months prior to that, but what in the world did I do to let myself get to that point? I look like I am still three months pregnant! I am sure you can clearly tell which picture is the before and which is the after and if you can't PLEASE don't tell me K thanks!!:)

I am so PROUD of my accomplishments and where I have come and where I am and where I am going!

Where did I come from? A girl that ate as if it was her LAST meal yes I LOVE to eat and I did it ALL The time. I didn't care what went in my mouth as long as it was yummy. I have never been much of a sweets girl, but after having Kendall I love them too much. It would be nothing for us to get a blizzard 2-3 times a week!

Where am I now? Today I am working out at least 4-5 days a week and I count EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth. OF course I give myself one day where the rules don't apply and I eat what I want when I want that whole day. But, those other 6 days no food goes in my mouth without being recorded in my phone! It's no longer a struggle to do this everyday, but I would be lying if I didn't say that some days I am way weaker than others! This has become a lifestyle for me. My whole mindset has changed as in no longer am I on a diet, but this is my new way of life. I have been going strong with the program I am doing for almost 70 days now. Yes it took me almost 6 months to finally get on the train and do it the right way, but honestly I learned that NO one can motivate me but me. I was tired of being sluggish and crying because none of my old clothes fit and I was tired of feeling so yucky about myself.

Today I am 5 pounds from my goal weight, but to tell you the truth when I reach that goal I just might set myself another goal!

SO some of you might be wondering and some might not care haha, but what have I been doing? Well I started out walking everyday and eating between 1200-1500 calories a day. Then I started doing Turbojam 4-5 days a week, which moved me into Turbofire! I absolutely love these workouts and I can't talk about them enough! They work for me and for the first time in my ENTIRE life I can do a 60 minute cardio workout witout giving up:)

I can't tell you how proud I am of myself. I didn't write this post to glow on myself, I simply wrote this post because I have never worked so hard in my life to get somewhere I really want to be! I am serious when I say this is my lifestyle now and it won't change I can't let it change because I don't want to go back to that!!

I am already thinking ahead. As crazy as it sounds I am a planner and I have to prepare myself for things such as holidays that will be arriving quickly. I know that I will probably have more than one cheat day those weeks, but I have to get right back on track as soon as it's over AND I can't stop working out.

Working out has been the most important part of this process. I had a baby and skin doesn't go back on it's own after having a baby unless you are EXTREMLY lucky. Me I wasn't one of those people and that's OK with me! I am working out and in a few months maybe I will have another post with another picture of the same exact outfit and I won't even believe that this was me today!

So for those of you out there that say you can't do it, you CAN I promise you can, but I am quite honest when I say that NO ONE can motivate you but yourself and no one can force you to put down the cookie and the burgers but YOU!! So, if you are inspired if you think you can do it then you CAN!!

Wow what a long post, but I am just so darn proud of myself and I will continue on this journey of a healthy lifestyle for the rest of my life!!!!

My OH my where have I been?
My computer hasn't been very nice to me these days and for some reason will not hook to the internet. I am thinking this might secretly be a blessing disquise because I am sure getting a WHOLE lot done around our house and for work;)

This past Friday was my 27th birthday! Three years from 30!! I can't believe it doesn't seem like I am that old, but then again I can't remember my age without really calculating it! Sad sad sad!

Chris took me to the Melting Pot and surprised me by asking some of our good friends to come along! WE had so much fun! I LOVE their food and if you haven't been you MUST go!!

We look awful here, but we were getting a facial while eating. The best part about The Melting Pot! haha!

Really this is the best part! LOOK at all that food as Kendall would say ummy ummy ummy!!

Speaking of Kendall here is that sweet girl and her great great grandma! Kendall hasn't been feeling the greatest. She had a little virus last week and her molars are coming in! I wish all her teeth would hurry and come in!

We haven't been up to much around here just staying busy and into EVERYTHING! I think we are back into the groove of going back to school and sitters and we are so so ready for fall!!

And this little girl isn't so little anymore. She is getting bigger and bigger everyday and looks more like her mamma everyday!! I think she's a tad bit cuter than her mamma though!!

And she's Oh so very sweet I might add as well!!

Hope you are having a great week!!

Sad to not blog:(

My home computer is not connecting to the internet.

We are pretty sure it's the internet company and I am pretty sure I am sad without my computer! It's amazing how much I depend on the internet even for work at home when it's missing!

Hope to be back soon:)

It's a Jungle in First Grade!

I have been MIA for a few days now because I had to go back to work BOO!! But, I am really excited about some of the cool things I am doing in my classroom this year and can't wait to share them with you!!

I am linking up to:

SO let's get started!!!

I had so much fun making this tree! All I did was use two tri fold boards and green bulletin board paper!! I knew that it was going to need a little love to truly look like a tree though. My team mate suggested I had brown paper sticking out to create the palm tree effect, so I used my Create A Critter Cricut Cart and made the green grass brown, hot glued it to the board and flipped the ends out! (I just had to make note that the big ABC letters are NO longer hanging up I changed them to the smaller cards and my calendar is no longer a mess like it is in this picture AND I have the cutest pink chair sitting in front of my tree that looks so stinkin cute! I will try to take a picture of it Monday and post so you can see it!!

And this is my end result. It took many, many days of going to school to finish this tree! But, it was so well worth it because I am in love with it and I know my kids will LOVE It!

I cut out a few animals and bananas and taped them to my tree and LOVE it!!!

The end result:)

And one more!

This area is my cubby, planner, important papers, and homework drop off. I found this paper tablecloth at hobby lobby I seriously doubt it will last there, but it was so cute I couldn't pass it up!!

This board looks totally different now! I cut out a bunch of different jungle themed animals and wrote the kids names on them and stapled them to the board and surrounded them with Dr. Seuss hats! Our school theme is Dr. Seuss and I chose to take off with this book and do a Jungle Theme! My team mate did a forrest theme. Maybe I can share her room with you next week!!

This will be my center board! I continued the grass all the way across and threw a few gators in them as well!!

These lanterns are hanging over each student table and an animal is hanging from them as well! I also hung vines and birds from the lantern to the ceiling!

A close up!

The zebra table!

And again! (that opening behind the zebra is the boys bathroom. Yep in my classroom shared with the first, second, fourth and sometimes fifth grade boys! The loveliness of being an open school building!)

Jessica hung this cute little vine over her book nook area and It runs great with the theme in my room as well!! SO, our school has NO walls and we seperate our classrooms by what you see in this picture bookshelves, cabinets and rolling carts! It is a very different atmosphere but we love it!! Jessica and I can see, hear and talk to one another all day long! It's awesome!

A view from the door! Another great thing about no walls is our classrooms are HUGE!! We are supposedly getting a new building in two years and we will definitely miss these big classrooms!! I am fortunate to have a door in my classroom with a window, but most classrooms have NO outside light.

And another view click to make pictures larger!!

And looking straight ahead towards Jess's room and my desk.

Along the side where the sinks, water fountains and my fridge are located!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my classroom! I will try to get more pictures of the finished product next week before the kids move in!!

Thanks for stopping by:)
