Dr. Seuss

I have been very busy the past few weeks and have barely been able to get my Project Life Tuesday Post up! I hope after this week things will settle down some. I am going to a conference for four days this week so I have been busy getting sub plans ready and Yearbook is due on Monday so I have been working extremely hard to complete it.

I have decided after this year I am giving up my yearbook job. It is so much extra work and now that we have Kendall I just don't want to spend that extra time working on it at night!

WOW I look like a tired ghost! I NEED a tan in a bad way:)

Saturday Chris and I took Kendall to the Dr Seuss story time at Target. She was so cute in her Dr. Seuss outfit and she did such a great job sitting and listening to the book while they read. She lasted through two books and then we were done for the day:) I thought I would share a few pictures from our day Saturday!

By the way I am LOVING Picasa and if you don't have it you so NEED to download it! It's Free!!
Have a great week everyone!

New Look!

Like my NEW look!!!!? I did it all by myself!! Well sorta! Definitely couldn't have done it without the help of Erin at Sunnny Side Up! If you don't follow her you should, she's adorable, her kids are adorable and I just love reading her blog everyday:)

I know my blog doesn't in any way look professional and it needs a lot of work still, but I had fun making my header and I am sure as time goes I will get better and better at it:)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Project Life Tuesday!

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday where I share with you our previous week with a picture a day! For more great Project Life Pictures please click on the banner for Project Life Tuesday at the Mom Creative!

Kendall is on her second round of antibiotics which hints the reason I haven't blogged much lately! We are sure hoping this round gets rid of this nasty ear infection! Feb 11: Kendall loves to brush her hair and I think it's so funny when she brushes Chris' hair as well! I loved her new jammies that Grandma got her tonight. They even have a ruffle butt!!
Feb 12: I think it's so cute how Kendall just adores this card that Chris got her! Notice her pajama top is missing due to the pink medicine that dripped all the way down it!

Feb 13: Today was the warmest day in Louisville in probably three months and we had so much fun strolling down the street in Kendall's wagon today!
Feb 14: Kendall's first Valentines. I loved her little Valentine outfit and the bow that she wouldn't keep in her hair as well. I have ALMOST given up on hair bows haha!
Feb 15: All of these books on the floor were mine when I was little. Kendall loves to pull them off the bookshelf and read them every night. She is so funny when she reads books!
Feb 16: Kendall had fun pulling all the wipes ot of the box tonight. She thinks it's funny to pull them out one by one:)

Feb 17: Kendall was giggling so hard with my sunglasses on tonight. She would put them on and then have me put them on:) She makes me laugh she has such a personality and is so funny!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Project Life Tuesday

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday where I share my pictures for the week with you. Please click on the banner above to go to The Mom Creative's blog to see other Project Life Post!!

Enjoy our week:)

Feb 4: Kendall had a double ear infection so I left work early today. You would have never known she was sick other than her yucky cough. I am glad we got her in the doctor and got some meds before it got worse!

Feb. 5: It was so much fun letting Kendall fingerpaint. We made the biggest mess but I had so much fun watching her paint and look at her hands like what's going on! She is so funny and growing up so fast!

Feb 6: I cleaned out under my bathroom sink tonight. Wow was it a nasty mess and boy do I have WAY too many hair products, make up, and hair ties!

Feb. 7: Kendall has figured out how to take the lids off of these containers. Good bye clean floors!

Feb 8- As soon as I change Kendall's diaper she rolls over and takes off. I am lucky to get another diaper on her before she's gone. I definitely can't get her pants back on!

Feb 9- Chris got Kendall this card when it opens it sings Mickey Mouse Club House theme song! She opens and closes it over and over and over again.
Feb. 10-Kendall makes it impossible to take a picture of her these days! This was the best I could get of her in this cute outfit. She is always on the move and won't sit still long enough for a good picture:)

Project Life Tuesday

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday where I share with you our week through a picture a day. If your stopping by from The Mom Creative welcome and I sure hope you will come back to visit! If you aren't here from The Mom Creative please stop by her blog for more Project Life Tuesday Pictures:

Jan 28: Kendall thinks it is so funny to get inside of things. So we knew she would find it amusing to get inside of this diaper box and we were so right!
Jan 29: Her new favorite thing, shutting doors and waiting for someone to open them back up so she can close them again!

Jan 30: I love this sweet picture of Kendall worn out after shopping with mommy and grandma. I also love that it's 30 degrees outside yet she still insist on pulling her socks off as soon as she gets in the car!
Jan 31: Tomorrow is FINALLY the 100th day of school I have been working hard to prepare for this day and I am so excited that it is finally here!!
Feb 1: Today we celebrated 100 days of being smarter! We made a banner, we made glasses, and we counted all day long! The kids had a lot of fun and I think they really enjoyed themselves!

Feb 2: I gave this messy girl baby spaghetti and noodles. She was liking it until she realized there were little pieces of something in her mouth lol! She is so funny I just adore her:)
Feb 3: Kendall still isn't sure how to use a sippy cup. Right now when I let her she just lays on the floor and drinks it up like a bottle, but I am sure one day soon she will have no problem drinking out of these cups!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed our week!

Sketchy Thursday

I am so excited because this is the third week in a row that I have played along at Sketchy Thursday

I have had a lot of fun playing along with these sketches because I really enjoy the sketches.

Ok so I am still not a professional at taking pictures of my layouts.....maybe one day....not to mention it's freezing cold here and I am NOT going outside to take a picture lol!!

These pictures are from a softball tournment in September. It was the first cold tournment and I LOVED Kendall in this pink velour suit!!
Hope you enjoyed my take on this sketch:)

10 months!

I can't believe Kendall Rae is 10 months old! It seems like just yesterday I was anxiously awaiting her arrival and now I can't remember my life without her!!

Here are a few things I don't ever want to forget about Kendall at 10 months!

- Kendall you have been walking for about three or four weeks now! ALL over the place. We are chasing you down more than ever now!

- You have learned how to climb to the top of the stairs which has caused us to get yet another baby gate for the house.

-You love for us to chase you and you know exactly what your doing when you look back at us and take off as fast as you can!

-You love Ed and you think it is so funny to lay and love on him! You laugh out loud everytime he is around!

- You go to bed every night around 830 and we have FINALLY gotten back into a routine of sleeping through the night. Daddy lowered your bed all the way down because you love to stand up when we walk out:)

-You are wearing 9 month seperate pieces of clothing and 12 month one pieces because you are so long! You are going to be a tall girl! Your still in size 3 diapers.

-You eat EVERYTHING we let you get your hands on. You now love teddy grahams, some of mommys sweet potatoe or daddys mashed potatoes, and yogurt! I don't think we will have any problem getting you to eat:)

-Your still nursing but you also take a bottle and sippy cup during the day.

-Your favorite show is still Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

-You have two bottom teeth and I have a feeling another is on it's way at the top!

-Your very independent and don't want anyone to get in your way. Like your mommy you are very head strong and you are going to do things your way:) That's OK with me I want you to be a girl who makes her own decisions.

-You still take a pacifier when your sleeping. You never wake up with it though and I don't think your in love with it as much as you use to be!

-You dislike shoes very much to the point of throwing them out as soon as they are on your feet. Often times when I get you out of the car you have both your socks off as well.

-I love you more than I thought to be possible!! You are our world and we are having so much fun watching you grow up!!

My Weight: An update!

Well I was reading through some of my old posts and I came across this one! (I just love that about my blog diary!)

I also wrote this one at the beginning of January before I went back to school from break!

I am SO happy to say that I have had a huge SUCCESS in my weight loss this past month!

From the day that I wrote my January post to this morning I have offically lost 8 pounds! That was four weeks ago, so that's about 2 pounds a week:)

Couldn't ask for more than that!

I have 6 pounds to go until I reach my first goal! (Which I would like to do by March 25!)

I will have 5 pounds to go to reach my second goal.

Then I must maintain which is the hardest part of all:)

I can't tell you how proud I am of myself.

I like to eat food. I like to eat food a whole lot so counting my points, measuring out my cereal, weighing my meat, and counting EVERY. SINGLE. piece of food that goes in my mouth is hard to say the least!

Here are a few things that have helped me stay on top of it:
1. We rarely eat out now. Maybe once or twice as week.
2. I go to the grocery every week and I buy fruit and I buy vegtables and I actually eat both!
3. I plan our meals out so that I know what we are eating each night before I get home which keeps me from making a less healthier meal.
4. I don't go over my daily points. Weight Watchers has ALWAYS worked well for me. I know I am lucky because I know some that have no luck. Honestly I think some people don't do it correctly. You have to actually measure your food out not guess what you think half a cup is or 4oz. (At least that has been my experience!)

The one thing I need to work on is :WORKING OUT! I just make so many excuses as to why I can't do it every night. Honestly I don't like doing it and I can think of a million things I could be doing around my house when I am working out. Maybe when it gets warm out I can take Kendall to the park more often and walk the tracks. We will see:)

I just wanted to share my progess and how happy I am!

I don't do this or say this to be all about me, but the way I feel, the way I act, and the things I do are totally different when I feel good about myself. I am sure everyone can say that, but honestly when I eat yucky food for a day I feel terrible! I don't like that feeling and I have been reminding myself that before I gorge on food!

My next weight post will be me reaching my first goal:)

Project Life Tuesday: Week 4

WOW I can't believe the first month of January is already over with! It will be June before we know it and I can't wait for summer time!

We are in the mist of another winter storm on the way it could potentially hit us with a mess if it hits us just right!!!

Anyways here is our week and don't forget to stop by The Mom Creative for:

Jan. 21: We had another snow day today so I thought I woudl try to organize my ribbon while Kendall napped. Turns out Kendall wanted to organize ribbon also because she woke up as soon as I got everything out!

Jan 22.: Guess who is climbing up the stairs now. This little girl learns something new every week! (Sorry for such a blurry picture but all I had was my Iphone and I just wanted to get a pic as fast as I could! It's an action shot on a phone haha!)

Jan. 23- Kendall is ALL over the place. Always into something and I thought it was funny that she wanted to play with my rainboats considering she can't stand wearing shoes! I think it's so cute the way she is sitting too!!

Jan. 24: Kendall loves this little music table! It has a little bowl in it where I put her snacks, which makes her love it even more!

Jan 25: I can't believe she is already 10 months. It is near impossible to get her picture on this chair now! She doesn't sit still long enough. Of the 30 pictures I took I thought this was so cute and it says it all!

Jan. 26: We had yet another snow day so Chris and I took Kendall out for her first snow sledding! She loved it and was so funny going down the little hill on our driveway:)

Jan. 27: To say my daughter likes to eat is such an understatement! The girl wants whatever we are eating at all times! I feel bad eating in front of her anymore because she wants what I have!
Thanks for stopping by and if your new welcome and I hope you will come back again soon:)
