Lil Buddies

On Thursday's Brad, Jennifer, and Tripp always come over or we go over there for supper! We started doing this when we were pregnant and it has stuck and I look forward to it every week. Yesterday when they came over we did a photo shoot of Kendall and Tripp. Jennifer bought them lil buddy onesies and we took their pictures in them yesterday. Aren't they the cutest!

Paris Scrapping!

I was finally able to get another layout done with the Paris Hilton Pet's Beauty Shop theme kit. Go here for more theme kits and other products of the Paris Creativity line. I am loving this kit. I have already started making a card as well that I will share when I complete it! TOnight I did a layout of our Cat Ed. I thought this page was perfect for our special cat Ed. The only thing that doesn't belong to the line is the flower in the top left and the ribbon in the bottom left.
I am having so much fun with this kit. Please make sure you check out my good blogger friend Deb's blog. She is an amazing scrapper and has done some awesome work with the Paris line. I plan to order a few more of the them kits and I will be sure to post my pages from those kits as well! Deb has me hooked on these kits:)

Baby Scrapping

Before I show you my baby layouts I have to share that Paris Hilton tweeted about my last blog post!! How awesome is that!? I can't wait to show more layouts that I will design with her kits! I was super excited about her tweeting about me:)

OK so for Christmas I made Chris a scrapbook of premade layout pages. I have never been a fan of making layouts before I had the pictures, but boy am I glad that I did this! I got two pages done quickly the other day before Kendall could wake back up! This first one is the opening page for the book I made him. It has her birth announcement on it! This second one is one of my favorite in the book! It took me a while to piece this page together when I was working on it. I love how it turned out with the pictures in it! I made the little tag with my Cricut and the cart Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more. Then I just added a 3d sticker "K" to it! Love it!

Do you ever make premade layouts? Are you a big fan of them or not? I'm sorry you can't click on my pictures. I don't know how to do that where you can see them bigger. Maggi has told me before but I don't use photobucket so I have no idea how to do it. I am really not a very good blogger lol when it comes to all the high tech things ha!

Paris Hilton Scrapping!

I am slowly learning to just let other things go and enjoy doing something for myself! The first few weeks I was home any free time Ihad without Kendall I was cleaning. Now I am learning that I need to let some of that go so that I can enjoy some alone time doing things I like to do:)
So, today I decided to do some scrapping! My sweet friend Deb is a designer for the Paris Hilton Collection. You must check her out because her work is AMAZING. She was so sweet to send me such a nice treat, the Paris Hilton Pet's Beauty Shop theme kit! (Go here for all the kits!) While my scrap booking is NO where compared to what Deb can do, I have really enjoyed working with this kit so far. I made this layout of my little Princess Zoey today. I think it turned out pretty cute and EVERYTHING is from the theme kit (except for the pink paper behind Zoey's picture!) I love all the bling in this kit. I wanted to use all of it, but unfortunately I am not good at making a lot of something not look tacky lol so I held back a little. I can't wait to make more with this kit.
Oh and this kit also includes cats so I am going to make my next layout with Ed and Jax! There is so much included in this kit and I will be able to do quite a few layouts! I will let you know how many I end up making with just this one kit! Please make sure you visit Deb's blog because she truly is one amazing scrapper:) And thanks Deb for being such a great blogger friend and so sweet to me. I just wish we lived closer so some of your creativity could rub off on me:)

Today we got to stay home adn relax all day with NO visitors. It was nice and Kendall seemed to like it too!
To my Nanny and Papaw got to meet Kendall for the first time. It's such a blessing that Kendall has 2 sets of great grandparents and a great, great grandma!
Kendall loves having her hands free, but I also know she sleeps so much better when she is swaddled.
One of my friends at work got Kendall this sweet little seahorse. I got it out because it plays music and I thoguht she'd enjoy it!

What I've Learned!

Kendall will be 4 weeks on Thursday. I can't believe it's already been four weeks, but then again I can:) I have learned a lot in the past four weeks about being a mom that NO one can teach you must learn from experience.
I just learned something about two minutes ago in fact:) I don't like to let Kendall cry at all therefore I carry her around on my waist all day. Well I am slowly learning that if she isn't hungry, doesn't need her diaper changed, and nothing else is going on, that I have to let her cry it out just a little bit! I just let her cry in the swing for 8 minutes and she STOPPED! Wahoo:) I was getting nothing done and Ihave to start doing things around here again for my own sanity. She might not be sleeping in there, but she is sitting nice and quietly!! I am proud of myself for letting her cry a little. I wasn't gonna let her go past ten minutes and she stopped in 8!!
I have also learned that as much as I love my sleep I am just going to have to get over it for a while and a be a little tired! I have always been a big sleeper:) Not during the day, but at night. I am a late nighter and a late morning sleeper, but not anymore! I have to get up now. Sleep who needs sleep?
I am slowly learning how to take care of this new little baby. I might not do everything "right" or the way that someone else would do it, but I am learning to do what works best for Kendall and I and that's all that matters.
And this little girl is getting use to her too:)

Project Life Tuesday

Finally I get to participate in Project Life Tuesday again!! It's been a crazy three weeks since we had Kendall and we have learned so much already! Here is our week in pictures:) Hope you enjoy! And don't forget to stop by The Mom Creative for Project Life Tuesday!
Friday April 2: Today one of my good friends from high school, Megan, stopped by to meet Kendall. We really enjoyed visiting with her.

Saturday April 3: We had a busy day today. We saw the Easter Bunny, got baby pictures taken, and Kendall lost her umbilical cord. (Picture will actually be of her with the Easter bunny!)

Sunday April 4: Today is Kendall's first Easter! Mom, dad, Mike, Joe, and Kristin came over and mom made a yummy supper! Of course Kendall slept through it all. She had a cute Easter dress and the bunny was good to her! We are very blessed with a loving and caring family!

Monday April 5: Today Chris had to go back to work. Kendall and I were sad he had to leave but he came home for a little nap:)

Jennifer and Tripp came over for a little stroll down the street. Kendall looked so cute in her sunglasses!

Kendall has now decided that she might want a pacifier. But she still has not got the hang of it yet!

Today I got Kendall to swing for a few minutes. She didn't last long of course she doesn't last long in any certain position.

Don't forget to check out Project Life Tuesday for other great Picture of the Day ideas!

Kendall's Baptism and being a MOM!

I am really trying hard to get this whole mom thing down and still be able to blog and Add Videodo things for myself. I had NO idea what it was like to be a mom and not be able to do what I want when I want. I am no longer on my own schedule but on someone very tiny's schedule. I am loving EVERY minute of it even the fussy days that we have been having for the past few days. At least they have been fussy days and not nights. I can handle it during the day but not at night!
We have been so busy around here with our sweet little girl, and since we have been home from the hospital there hasn't been a day that someone hasn't come by to visit her. I love all the visitors, but I am really excited for a day when no one comes by! It will just be nice to be the three of us for a while. But, who wouldn't want to come see this sweet face everyday:)
Last night we had Kendall baptized at church. She slept through the entire thing. My brother, Joe and my sister in law, Kathleen, are Kendall's Godparents. We knew they would be great role models for Kendall and would take good care of her:)

I just love our sweet little family of 3! We are SO very blessed with a healthy baby that loves to cry:) I think that means she is going to be a little talker when she gets older!

Hopefully I will be back to myself soon and reading all the blogs that I loved to read:)
