Friday Night Fab Five: TV Shows

So, I thought for Friday Night Fab Five this week I would do some TV shows that I love to watch. I am not a very big TV watcher so this will be probably ALL the TV shows I watch so here goes. Oh and if Bacholerette had not just stopped it would definitly be on this list!

1. Greys Anatomy: SO, it's on summer break, but this is the one show that I absolutely will not miss during the school year. If I miss everything else I don't care, but when Greys is on my TV DO.NOT.TAlK.TO.ME! I love McDreamy and Meredith and I CAN'T wait to see what happens to Izzy on the show this season (If she is still on the show!) Grey's is probably TV show that I have watched the longest!

2. The View: Although The View comes on at 11:00 and I am work at that time (during the school year), I still tape it and watch every night in bed. I love to see who they are going to have on the show each day. I love hearing thier comments about hot topics. But, most of all I love to see what Elisabeth Hesselbeck will have on each day! I LOVE her style!

3. What I Like About You: This show doesn't come on as new episodes anymore, but it comes on ABC family everyday at 3:00 and 3:30. It is one of my favorite shows. The summer time is the only time I get to watch it, but everyday that Chris has come home this week I have been on the couch watching it. Yesterday he said to me "Honey I think this is your favorite show." I think he is RIGHT!

Promis that's a CAKE:)

4.Ace of Cakes: Ok I sit in bed each time I watch this and say HOW DID THEY DO THAT? I have Chris hooked on this show also. We Tivo it and watch all the reruns. We are waiting for the new episodes to start because it is going to be a good one. I have always liked watching people make things, but this is definitly the best show I have ever seen in which something is created. Every single one of their cakes is a piece of art.

5. Kings of Queens: I LOVE this show. I think I like this show so much because they remind me so much of Chris and I. Chris would definitly do all the things that Doug does in this show and I might respond quite the way that Carrie responds! Chris and I watch all the reruns of this show (We have all the DVDs) and we laugh all the way through them. Why do they take all the good sitcoms off air? I can't seem to get into any other shows that come on now! But, it's probably better that way because I get way more done:)

Other shows that I watch as I am going to bed are Cosby Show, Home Improvement, Roseanne, and Full House!

Hope you enjoyed FNFF!! Tell me what are your favorite shows?

Busy as a bee!!

Today I have been busy as a bee! I have worked on a lot of school things and cleaned the house a little. Yesterday I felt awful so I didn't really do anything. Today I caught up on a lot of things. First I got some laundry done, cleaned the cabinets in my kitchen and straightened the basement. Then it was on to working on some things for school. So, here are some of the things I did today!

First I made these pencils for my center bulletin board. I also cut out these letters for the board and wrote their names on their center pockets.

Then I put the ducks beaks on, added the stickles, and printed out the name lables to go on the ducks.

I finished the purple table supplies bucket.

I cut out vinyl letters for my objectives board. They say Daily Objectives, Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies.

I got the stuff ready for their goodie bags on the first day of school. I got them a little puzzle game, an eraser, and a pencil. I am going to put them in these bags and then staple the great job tag on them.

I wrote the names on my name plates and cut out the contact paper to stick over the nameplates on the desks. I found that this stays down well as long as they don't peel at it!
So, I had a busy as a bee day, but I got a lot done and I am happy with that! Tomorrow I am going to school with all of this stuff to put it in place. Here are some other things I have to finish though..
1.Print out Center Plates
2. Finish Workshop chart.
3.Make a behavior system.
4. Hang up my ABCs (But, First I have to take all the tape off the wall from the previous teacher!)
5. Complete all my bulletin boards.....and I am sure there are a million other things....
So hopefully I will feel good tomorrow so I can work hard at school tomorrow. Open house is on Monday...AHHHHHH

Make It Monday:Curtains(YES I know it's Wednesday!)

Ok, So I know it's Wednesday, but I wanted to make sure everyone saw my Stellan post, because he wasn't doing that good on Monday and he needed our prayers. He still needs our prayers so keep on praying.

So I decided to make some curtains for my classroom. We don't have any windows in our rooms. I work in an open school building which means we also don't have any walls. So, what do we have? Well we have a bunch of bookcases on wheels to serve as walls. So, I have made some curtains to go on the bookcases that have storage in them. I am not too happy with how they have turned out. Actually I haven't sewn them together just yet, because my sewing machine wouldn't work right, so I might take them apart and repin them. But, here is what they will look like! The other one will have lime green in the middle and pink on it's edges. The thing I think I am most unhappy with is the fabric. Yes it was cheap, but it's super thin and it is sorta making it hard to sew. Sounds weird but I think the thinner the fabric the harder it seems to sew it straight. Plus I am making these by following someone elses already put together. So, that is a little hard as well. It took me forever to pin this one, but I think the pink edges look shorter than the blue so I must repin them! (The air was on and the vent is right under the curtain which is why the right side of the curtain looks the way it does. It is really not that much shorter than the rest of the curtain.) That's alright. I am going to take it to school tomorrow to see if it is even going to look right! I think it will though.

SO other things going on with me! I have been extremely tired and my stomach has been bothering me. Not only that but nothing, I mean nothing taste good. All of my favorite snacks just don't taste good anymore! What is wrong with me! Yes, I know my tastebuds are changing and some things just won't be good, but I have to find something good to eat! Anyone have any good suggestions?

Just Pray

Prayers for Stellan

Just Pray for him. Stellan needs all the prayers he can get right now as does his family, friends, doctors and anyone else in contact with him. We know what the power of prayer can do so just pray!

Pink..is my signature Color!

I found a really fun website thanks to my dear blogger friend Lisa, who by the way is one heck of a scrapbooker. The website is called These Are a Few of My Favorite Things and they do craft challenges. It doesn't have to be a lo can be a card or an altered item. Go check them out as well it is such a cute blog and so much fun to play along.

This weeks challenge was favorite color. Well it is no surprise my favorite color is PINK. So of course I had to play along. I had so much fun doing this lo. I even did a little bit of doodling on it. Something I have never done before! I hope you enjoy it and please go check out the above blogs. Both are Awesome!!!

I have never doodled on a page before. Let me know what you think about that! Do you doodle on your pages a lot?

I used cricut cart Cuttin up for my letters, skittles on the word Pink and Color, and the designed paper is from the DCWV Sweet Stack! Hope you will play along or join the next challenge!

Hope you didn't miss the big news:)

Yesterday was Maggi's sweet Christmas in July party. I had lots of fun blog hopping and I ENJOYED everyone of my sweet comments. If you didn't read my blog post yesterday because it said Christmas in July then you missed some EXCITING news! I am so excited to anounce that I am...

Yes those are mine!! And here is the third one cause I just wasn't sure that could possibly be right!

so after three confirmed "Pregnant" I guess they are right! I am PREGNANT!!! Yippee I am so incredibly excited! So, now I get to prepare for a whole new life. I am very excited about it.

I go to the doctor August 4th. We told our parents this past Thursday, one week after we took the test, because I couldn't wait a minute longer to scream it to the world. Chris wanted to wait until we went to the doctor and I did to, at first. Then I just couldn't hold it in any longer!

So, I have thought long and hard about doing a pregnancy album and I have decided against it. However, I am going to do nine months and counting in pictures. I will take a different picture everyday of something going on in my pregnancy. It will be like Project 365 for those familiar with that. I am going to get the supplies to do this really soon. I have already started the blog site for this! Check it out!

Nine Months and Counting

If you are not a follower I hope you will become one and join me on this journey:)

It's Christmas....in July:)

Happy Christmas in July EVERYONE...Don't know what I am talking about?

Join us for a blog party!

Click the picture and read all about it, but make sure you come back for present time!! Make sure you check out Maggi's Blog for a list of anothers celebrating Christmas and I hear Maggi has a GREAT giveaway this morning:)

Joining the party? Grab a seat, your favorite winter PJs and blankie, some snowman poop, a big tall glass of milk and be quiet cause we are watching:

We watch this movie every year with Chris's mom. We also watch a Christmas Story and Elf. Three of our favorite Christmas movies. But, of course you have to watch the classic!

I look forward to this show every year. Even though I have it on DVD, I still watch it when they air it on TV. It's like being a kid ALL over again!

Since getting married we have made many new traditions during Christmas time each year. We always put a Christmas tree up in the basement living room and in the family room upstairs! It takes a lot of work, but it is so well worth it! Unfortunately I have no pictures of our trees. I don't know why we don't, but we don't. Something I will definitly have to work on this year!

Christmas Eve is my mother in laws birthday, so we always spend the morning with her and the evening with my family, my two brothers, my sister in law, my other brothers girlfriend, Chris, mom, dad, and myself have a nice dinner at mom and dads and then open up gifts from one another.

Then we get to Christmas day and we are in trouble! We go to Chris moms, Chris' dads, my grandmas, my great grandmas, and then back to Chris' moms. Needless to say we are whipped by the time Christmas day is over!

Some of my very favorite Christmas traditions are trading stockings. We always do stockings with each other, Chris' mom, and Chris' dad. It is so much fun! I love doing it. It is my absolute favorite Christmas gifts ever. They are always little things like lipgloss, candy, jewelry, and other small gifts like this, but it is just so fun to see what will be in your stocking!

Chris and I make snowman poop every year as well. I am sure many of you have had it. It' s very simple to make. You may also know it as puppy chow.

To Make:

You need;
9 cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1.Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2.In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3.Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Another Christmas Tradition we have each year is going to our friends Dirty Santa Party. Of course you eat until you just can't eat anymore. SO, of course you have to have a great appetizier to take with you! And here is my favorite! Sausage Puffs

To Make:

You Need;

2-8oz packages of cream cheese

1-Ib. Sausage OR 1/2 Ib of sausage and 1/2 Ib. of spicey sausage
2- Packages of Cresent Rolls.

1. Let the cream cheese sit out at room temperture.
2. Brown Sausage.
3. Mix sausage and cream cheese.
4. Cut each cresent rool in half.
5.Place a spoon of sausage and cream cheese on the cresent roll.

6. Roll the cresent roll up.
7. Place on cookie sheet.
8. Bake according to the insructions on the cresent roll can!

These are the yummiest sausage appetiziers you will EVER have! I love them:)

Christmas is Chris and I's favorite time of the year. We love hanging lights outside, putting up trees, buying gifts, wrapping gifts, giving to others, and most importnantly spending time with each other and our families.

This Christmas will be very special, but not as special as next Christmas. Becuase of the NEW addition that will soon be joining to our family:) Didn't click on the link...OK here are a few more hints...

STILL didn't get the hint?

OK let me just tell you!!!

CAUSE

YES YES YES YES YES!! I am PREGNANT:)

I am beyond excited! Writing this post just makes me think of all the NEW traditions we will start with our family and all the old traditions we will carry on with our family. I just want to pee in my pants thinking about Chris sharing Christmas morning with our new little bundle of joy:) At Christmas time I will surely have ALL kinds of crafty things to share so COME back and see!

And Christmas isn't Christmas without some giving! So, how about a little Christmas scrapbooking stash to giveaway. I am sure I have some Christmas things I can give away and I can also make you some cute little cricut Christmas cuts to add in there!

Friday Night Fab Five: iphon Edtion

So tonight's Friday Night Fab Five is in great honor of my dear blogger friend Maggi! Maggi loves iphones so much that she pretends she has one her whole life:) (She loves me!) So in honor of her I am doing Friday Night Fab Five iphone edition with my top five apps.

Ok so I just got my iphone a little over a month ago and it is definitly my life. Now I probably don't use it to the full effect that everyone else does and hey I probably haven't downloaded more than five apps so this might be a little hard for me to do. Ok so not really, but I just have a few apps, but they are my favs.

K so here they are! In no certain order either cause I love them all!

1.WeatherBug: So my friend Ashley and I can sometimes be a little obsessed with the weather. I have always loved weather bug. I think it is one of the best places to get weather information so I HAD to have it for my iphone and it was FREE:) If you don't have it get it because it is worth it!

2. Twitterific: Ok for all you twitter fans out there who wouldn't love getting thier twitter updates on their phone. I love it and it's so cute when you get new tweets it makes a twirping sound! So fun:) And so free!3. Google Earth: This app is already included on the phone but incredibly worth it. It was a life saver the other day for Kimberely, Amy, and I when we were trying to find the Humane Society downtown. We don't like downtown and with google Earth we could actually see the road we were on and the roads that we needed to turn on. Thank goodness or we would have NEVER gotten to that field trip! I am glad it was already on my phone cause I probably wouldn't have know otherwise to use it!4.Collapse: One of my all time favorite games. I looked it up the first day I got my iphone and still have not beat the game. It gets harder and harder. I have been stuck on the same level since forever. I try at least once a day to beat it and it never goes very well. I will one day master Collapse on my iphone! I did pay about 1.99 for this app but it has been well worth every penny:)5Facebook: Before I was addicted to Twitter or blogging I was obsessed with facebook. I still love it so of course I had to have it on my iphone. It is so much fun and it updates everytime you click on it. Which is probably about 100 times a day for this girl. I didn't pay a penny for it either so how much better can that get?

I hope you enjoyed Friday Night Fab Five:iphone Edition! If you have an iphone PLEASE tell me some of your fav. apps! I am always looking for more to get addicted to! Maggi I hope you enjoyed your own dedicated fab five:)

OK so maybe I will have some SUPER exciting news that I can share with you on my blogpost Saturday Morning. Just maybe though....Only if you can keep a secret!

Ok so I need to totally go upstairs to my craft room and do like 50 los cause I haven't done ANY in forever and I am getting mad at myself. I am SO behind and I just don't want to fall behind right now. I am really needing to catch up. So, maybe tomorrow that will be what I do!

Tonight my favorite Blogger Maggi tagged me in a fun little game!

It's a fun little book award and this is what I am suppose to do!

1. Collect the book that you have most handy

2. Turn to page 161

3. Find the 5th complete sentence

4. Cite the sentence on your blog

5. Pass it on to 5 other victims (Oops! bloggers) (In Maggi's terms!!)

So here ya go the sentence is......

"I shivered." Seriously LOL I promise that is the fifth sentence! How funny is that. Look it up yourself it's

OK here are my next victims:

Sparkling Scrapbooks

Sweet As Punkin Pie

Motherhood Moments

Baby Makin Machine

Lisa Howard

Have fun friends! Speaking of which, I was wondering what you guys thought about New Moon? I didn't really care for it too much. NO don't shoot me. I am not the die hard Twilight fan like so many of you out there! But, it is just not my cup of tea. I like hold em up, shoot em up, and knock em up kinds of books. Yes this is my guilty pleasure:)

Oh PLEASE come back tomorrow for Friday Night Fab Five. It will be a wonderful one in honor of Maggi herself:)

OK just come back to my blog tomorrow because I am a loser and I have to beg for bloggers friends to read my blog! Throw me a pity party Puh puh please!! (We will see if that worked!)

Make It Monday:Teacher Edition Part 1

Ok so this Make it Monday might be boring to some, but maybe fun to others! Even if you aren't a teacher you can still enjoy the things that I made this week for Make it Monday:Teacher Edition Part 1! So, we all know that teachers don't get paid enough and spend way too much on their classroom. Well this year I decided why spend the money on all the cute bulletin board themed ideas when I can make them myself. I have a cricut and I have paper and that is ALL it takes! So, I made Quack Quack Welcome Back the other day.

Today I made Something to "Croak" About. This is going to be used for students work! I think I might make one more frog because he turned out so cute. I am still thinking of other ideas for boards in my room. I still have to do my workshops board, my behavior board, and my calendar. I am getting a good start on this too. I have already made way more for my classroom than I did last year! If you have anymore ideas let me know! I think I am also going to do zoo animals in my room because there just aren't many pond animals that I can think of. But, if I think of more pond animals I will just stick to that:)

I also made these buckets to go in the middle of their tables/desks. (There is also a Purple table as well it just got left out of the picture)In first grade we have desks not tables, but I am going to put their desks into groups like they are at tables because I like better. These buckets are for their supplies that they don't keep in their crayon boxes such as their white glue, markers, or extra gluesticks!
I used Cuttin Up and Animal Kingdom Cricut Carts for these projects tonight!
Even if you don't have a cricut try making something for your classroom instead of buying it all. Those themed bulletin boards can get so expensive so why not make them?
Next week will be more teacher stuff! I am getting ready for back to school so I am spending a lot of my crafty time making things for my classroom so get ready for next week and I hope you enjoyed!

Friday Night Fab Five: Household items!

Ok, so maybe this will bore some of you, but maybe this will make some of you get off your bottom and do some housework lol! OK so it will bore most of you. But, since I got married and moved into a house that I am not responsible for taking care of and cleaning, I have found many, many items that make my house clean and my life 100% easier. Here are my favorite five household items.

1. My dyson: This is my #1 favorite cleaning tool I own. I use my Dyson at least 4 times a week sometimes more. We have the animal vac. and I promise you it works so well. Trust me you can see ALL of the hair it picks up. I could probably vacumm for days and still pick stuff up! Yes gross I know, but at least I can see that it is working!

2. Woolite Pet and Stain Remover: Another must have in my house! Just like humans animals get sick as well and have accidents. Therefore I couldn't live in my house without this stain remover. It is also an odor remover as well. It works very well and there are never stains on my carpet! OK should I admit that I have to use this? Yes, because if you have animals you know what I am talking about and you need this item!

3. Febreze air effects: This is just one of the many, many smelly things I use in my house. I have so many smelly good things in my house it is crazy. I am always scared our house smells terrible. So, I am constantly spraying febreeze or lighting a candle! I love the Febreeze candles as well!

4. Scrubbing bubbles toilet bowel cleaner: My least favorite thing to do in my house is clean the bathrooms. This makes it so much easier. Just pop one of these on the end of the stick and clean that toilet. Pitch it in the garbage and VOILA! Your toilet is clean:)

5. Scrubbing bubbles Bathtub cleaner: OK so I am not really sure what this is called, but it hasn't been out for long. I long you I am a experimenter when it comes to cleaning items. So, Chris knew I would want to try this and I love it. Whatever makes cleaning bathrooms quicker and easier I am all for. So, all you have to do is still a new pad onto the stryofoam brush, get it a little wet and clean your heart out! SO MUCH BETTER than spraying the cleaner on the tub, letting it sit and then using a cloth or papertowels to clean it off! Love these things try them out:)

Well those are some of my fav. household items.

What are yours?

Quack Quack Welcome Back!

Well one of my favorite things to do at the beginning of the school year is prepare my room! A crafty persons dream:) So, it has begun. I must get ready for the 2009-2010 school year. I have less than a month until the first day of school. Well, I can't work in my room right now because I am still going to school 9-4 and they just cleaned our carpets so we are not aloud in there this week. So, next Thursday I am going back. I am trying to prepare as much at home as I possibly can though! So, tonight I made my bulletin board for the first few weeks of school. I named it Quack Quack Welcome Back! Here is a picture of it!

Of course I made 24 of those little ducklings. I still have to put their names on them. I am just going to type them up on a label and stick it to the duckling. I will wait til closer to school because our lists change MANY times!

To Make: I used my cricut cart Animal Kingdom and my cart Cuttin' Up. I then stickled the beaks. I added my name with the Cuttin Up cart onto the big Duck:)

I will use blue butcher paper to make a pond. I think I will also use my animal kingdom cart to make a lily pad and a frog. So my theme? I think will be pond animals! I have frogs, fish and ducks what are other pond animals?

I love how this turned out and I can't wait to hang it up.

Busy!!

So, I didn't do Make it Monday yesterday. I know second day and I am already missing days:( My excuse is I am going to school 9-4 and I am so incredibly TIRED!! SO, I thought I would just write a little to let you know that I am tired and I miss Make it Monday. But, I promise I will make it up next week:)

I thought I would share a few more pics. from our cruise a few weeks ago. I can't believe we have already been back for a week and a half. I miss it! I am always ready to come home, but then I want to go right back!! Sorry I still have not cropped my pics from the cruise, but I hope you enjoy the ones I have posted!!
Ok on to the pics.;
Ok call me spoiled, but this was my LEAST favorite stop. It was at least 200degrees in Mexico the day we decided to go to the Ruins of Tulam. It was so miserably hot and there was hardly any shade. I had NO desire to go there in the first place, but Chris wanted to so we went:) It would have been neater had I not been so hot. The beach on the other side was really neat though! This was one of my favorite stops. I loved Nassau ESP. Atlantis. I would love to go stay there for an entire week. I am sure however, that it would be way out of my budget. Under this bridge there are some animals that don't like humans too much:) There were signs like this one all around this area!

This is me posing like our towel animal! We weren't really sure what it was, but that's the way it looked! I love the monkeys, but we never got one. If you have never been on a cruise each night they take towels and make animals out of them and then lay them on your bed! They are really cool. Our last night being served yummy, yummy food! We went to the dining room EVERY night. Who wants to miss out on that? Oh and we loved the warm melting chocolate cake so much. At least one of us got it every night and the last night our waiter brought us the recipe. But, I am sure it won't be as good as it is on the boat:)Private beach island in Belize! PLEASE take me there:)
