Going Cruisin' and a CONTEST!

So, this will probably be my last post before we leave to go on our cruise on Friday! So, it might be a little long and I am sure I will lose a lot of your interest by the end of the post:) First, I have yet another update for our CRUISE Somehow I am not quite sure that the cruise director will know exactly where we are going because they have changed our ports yet again. WELL at least they are going back to the ports we orginally signed up for! We are now going to Nassau, Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. SO, they have decided to take us back to Mexico and I am guessing it is alright. But, hey I am not saying that is where we will go so I will let you know when I get home where exactly we did go. Trust me I will have TONS of pictures to share and I am sure many stories. Maybe. Just. Maybe I will win a few dollars or too in the casino. YES. I love the casino, however I stick to the penny and nickel slots ha ha! So, ask me have I packed yet? Well, heck no. Have I started packing? Heck no. Will I start tonight? Probably heck no! I will get it done I always do.

So tomorrow I have lots to do.
Finish laundry.
Manicure and Pedicure.
Lunch with parents.
Mail off a paint can.
Finish cleaning the house.

I am so sure I can get ALL of that done tomorrow!

Ok moving along. I am still using this Fertility Calendar , however I have looked and looked at MANY different websites online, reading articles, talking to other TTC, and asking questions. SO HOPEFULLY in the next few weeks I am going to have some SURPRISING news!!! Come back often to find out (Please visit me and leave a comment too)

Alright last thing and then I am done boring you. OK everyone has nifty little sayings for a special blog post they do once a week. My fav of course is Friday Night Fab Five by one of my favorite bloggers Maggi, go check her out, her blog is the cutest little thing. Some others I have seen are Wordless Wednesdays, Book review monday, and I can't think of any others. WEll I want to do this and I am having a hard time thinking of one. HELP. ME.

So, this is what I am asking of you! Think of a great slogan for me to blog about once a week and I will use it! The one that I like the most or am able to use the most will become part of my blog. You will also get a little fun surprise from me (BUT I am not going to tell you what it is just yet!) So, leave me a comment with your idea and when I come back from my trip I will pick my fav. and a winner!

Everyone have a wonderful weekend, week and fourth of July. We will be driving back home from Florida on 4th of July!

Bon Voyage!

I CAN take on motherhood! After all it can't be any worse than having my DOG:)

OK OK I know everyone is going to correct me on this post but I just have to do it anyways. My DOG is like a baby/kid. She wakes me up in the middle of the night when she is sick. She doesn't leave my side. She cries when she wants something. She pouts when she doesn't get her way. She takes things without asking for them. She loves to snuggle with me. She wants to eat every hour. She pukes on a daily basis. I take pictures of her every move. I carry her around like a baby. She sleeps in my bed. She has Chris wrapped around her finger. She gets what she wants when she wants it.

I LOVE Zoey dearly, but sometimes I think raising a kid can't be any harder then raising a dog. LOL I know prove me wrong NOW.
I called my mom to tell her this and she said, "You know, your sorta right on that one!" (She knows the "real" Zoey that others don't see!)

This morning Zoey had me up at 530 in the morning crying. She has an ear infection. So, what do I do? I clean her ear as best as I can til I can get some ear solution, give her bendryl, and put her in bed with me. She falls back asleep until we wake up this morning. I wake up in the morning and guess what is next to me? The BENDRYL that I KNOW I FORCED down her throat! So, I give it another try. This time SUCCESS:) I go to my mother-in-laws (like us she also runs her own zoo) and get some ear solution. MAN does Zoey have an ear infection. Poor thing I could have used a box of Qtips to get all the gunk out of her ear. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Oh wait she is eating leftover PIZZA and I think she is ALRIGHT:) (Yes, my dog eats human food for breakfast on the weekends she has pancakes, syrup included!)

I LOVE Zoey but goodness gracious didn't know dogs could be so humanlike:)

Happy 2nd Anniversary to US:)

Today is Chris' and I's 2nd wedding anniversary. I really can't believe we have been married for two years now. It doesn't seem like two years ago that I walked down the aisle. I thought I would post some pics of our wedding day. Sorry they are just random shots that I found so some might not be all that great. So here goes! A trip down Memory lane:)
Our wedding was amazing and we had the best time of our lives. We still talk about it all the time. I love Chris very much and can not imagine my life without him:) He is a loving, caring, sweet, understanding, and all around amazing man! Thanks for 2 wonderful amazing years and MANY MANY more to come:) LOVE you!!

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy:)

I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and then tell you a little about my daddy since it's his day! I love my dad very much. He is a VERY hard working man and did A LOT for me when I was little to give me everything I needed and a lot of what I wanted as well. My dad and I don't have the relationship that most girls have with thier dads, but I know that my dad loves me very much and I love him just as much. I lived with my parents until the day I got married and probably could have stayed their my whole life had I not gotten married. My parents are so easy to live with! (I know it's not a very good pic, but it's the best one I could find on my new computer!)
My dad is caring, loving, hard working, dedicated, creative, and the BESTEST daddy in the whole world!!:) Happy father's day:)

Tis the Season: For weddings of COURSE!

June is ALWAYS a big wedding month and it seems like the last two years we have been invited to a TON of weddings or our close friends have gotten married. Well so far this summer we have gone to three weddings with one more on the way. Well I wanted to share with you the bucket I made for the wedding we went to tonight. I thought it turned out pretty cute:) I used my cricut to cut out their intials and some polka dots. Then I filled the bucket with some kitchen items. Some that were on her registry and then some that I love to use! Lastly I wrapped with with clear wrapping paper and then tied it up with a bow. I was I would have had thicker ribbon but that's alright it worked! And the wedding was a lot of fun tonight. The bride was beautiful:) Next, time I will probably make the initals a little smaller. But, I am thinking these would make great baby shower gifts as well:) How cute would that be for a diaper bucket!? I think I would love it!
What do you think about my gift would you enjoy getting that as a wedding present?

Much to say about NOTHING:)

I know you want to hear me blog about my day today so that is just what I am going to do! I have worked on HOMEWORK ALL day long and I am WORN out. I am still not done. I have to make an entire year's worth of units for 1st grade Science. AHHHHHHH making me crazy.

Ok so here is something for you to ponder about and look at lol!
This is a picture of my cousins Emma and Rachel! Aren't they georgous? Emma is on the left of me and Rah is on the right of me. They are more like sisters than cousins. We are together a lot, not as much as we use to be as we get older.

I remember when Emma was born 18 years ago. I was in elementary school and I got to miss part of the day because Emma was coming to the world! Now she is going away to college in the fall. Yes, she is 18. I can't believe it and I am going to miss her so much. Yeah, she is going to UK (University of Kentucky) and will only be 45 mins away, but it's still going to be sad without her around. I am really sad for Rachel cause I know she is going to miss her when she is gone. Saturday Rachel and Aunt Lisa came over and Rachel said her and Emma weren't talking and I told her she better stop that cause when she is gone she will be so sad!! I just LOVE these girls they were both in my wedding and they look totally different now then they did at my wedding two years ago.

Well Rachel (the one on the left) is the one I want you to ponder over. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE tells me that she should be my daughter even though I would have been 12 when I had her! They say she talks just like me, has my mannierisms and looks identical to me. Well of course Rah and I just don't see it at ALL. What do you think? Here is a NASTY closeup picture of us. Might help you a little!
Rachel can NOT wait for Chris and I to have a baby. She asks Grandma ALL the time "When will Christy and Chris have a baby?" I can't wait to tell her when I am pregnant because she will be the most excited out of my family besides of course my mother:)

Here is one more picture of you to look at lol. These are all pics. from my brothers wedding and I may have even posted them before, but you can look again! This is a pic of Emma, Rachel, Grandma, Me, and Aunt Lisa.

Where did I get my height you asked? From the Milkman!!

I Promised Crafty...SO here I go!!

OK, so I promised crafty and FINALLY I finished the project that I wanted to share with you! It does take quite a while to make this project and I have tons of pics to share to help as much as I possibly can! OK so my craftiness I would like to share with you today is not a scrapbook lo, it's not a paintcan, and it's not an altered item! It is a quillow! Yes I made it all by myself too! First you might be wondering what in the world is a quillow? It is a quilt and a pillow all in one. How can that be? Well if you look at the very end of the patterned side of the blanket you will see a little pocket (I personally like to use that pocket to put my feet in when I sleep at night) you can roll the quilt up inside of it and you have a pillow! How nifty. Definitly didn't come up with it on my own.

When I was in high school we could take a sewing/craft class! Yes, I went to an all girls school and that was an elective and I LOVED it. So, this was one of my projects. Well I have probably made at least thirty if not more since high school. I made a new one today, becauase I do sleep with them every night in the summer time as my only blanket. My other one is getting a little old and so I wanted a new one. Plus I really liked this fabric because it will look good with my new comforter for my room.

So, how did I make it? Well I definitly don't use a pattern, but all I do is cut two pieces of fabric two yards with RIGHT sides together. I also cut out two yards of batting. Next, I pin them right side together with the batting on one side of one of the fabrics. Leave a long part unpinned so that you don't sew it. This is to flip it inside out. Your suppose to hand sew that part together, but I am TOO impatient to do such a thing so I use the machine. To make the quillow part you cut two 171/2X171/2" pieces of your patterned fabric and batting. Put it right sides together with the batting on one piece of the fabric. Then sew it leaving enough room to turn in inside out.

Lastly sew you the quillow part onto the quillow. It goes directly in the middle of one end of the patterned fabric. I have a special presser foot to sew all of the pieces together at the end because they are very thick. This is the HARDEST part because when you put that much fabric together it can gather as you sew so you have to be VERY careful as you sew.

I love these blankets and this is my third one. I still use my old ones, but they have been loved to the ground!
To Fold: Turn the blanket over to the solid color side then flip the
ends to the middle
Next begin folding the blanket up:
Another Fold:

Your Last fold:

Lastly flip it over and turn the pillow inside out. I promise this takes LOTS of practice!! And you have a pillow!!

Of course I always have help whenever on any projects I create:)
I hope you are not TOO confused. If you are interested in making one or have questions please feel free to email me!!

So, what do you think about quillows!! I am thinking about doing a special giveaway and maybe a quillow could be one of my giveaways. I was thinking when I have 100 followers I could do this!! Will I ever get there is the question LOL!!

FINALLY! Got my computer back:)

Finally! My computer came today. Chris got it all set up for me thank goodnes...took forever to get the wireless set up though cause we couldn't find the CD. FINALLY got it set up and now we are good!

SO, I am offically back for good let's hope:)

Well, this week is my first offical week off for summer and what have I been doing? Not cleaning each room really good, not excercising like I SO should be doing, not laundry, or even laying in the sun(well it has been raining so far this week). I have been doing HOMEWORK! Can you believe it sumer time and I am doing nothing but homework. WELL and playing with my IPHONE YES! YES! YES! I got it and I absolutely LOVE it. so. far. Hope it stays that way. Probably should have waited til September, but I am not very patient when I want something. Just ask my husband! I am having fun with it, but I still don't have an Itunes account so I have to set that all up so that I can get some apps!

ANYWAYS: I did work on my craft project today. I am ALMOST finished, and will be able to post about it tomorrow. So, that is really exciting. I hope you all love it, because they are so much fun to make. I have been taking pictures of it as I make it so that I can try to explain how to make it to those that want to make one themselves. Can't wait to finish it tomorrow!

Can't believe we leave to go on our cruise next Friday. I am so excited I can't wait. I have two projects that I have to finish for my classes that finish up next Tuesday and then I am ready to pack and leave town. I am PUMPED and so ready to have no contact with anyone off of the boat for a whole week! (Sorry LOL you know what I mean though?)

WEll going to do some work (play?) goodnight!

I know Still nothing Crafty!!

OK, so I haven't been able to do ANY crafting this weekend! Why you may wonder? Because I have a research paper due next week and a huge project do the very next day. Plus all the little papers that are required in everyday class. Needless to say that is what I have been working on the past few hours. I shall get it done and when I do I am going to make something:) I already have that special something in mind that I want to make and share with you! I am even thinking about making one for a giveaway, but I want more followers before I do such a thing:)

Ok so, I have a question for all of you out there. Do you have an iphone? Do you like your iphone and would you pay the money for one? Why am I asking? Becuase I WANT one lol! I have wanted one for a VERY long time. I thought I was able to get one at the discounted price of 199.00 not too long ago, but found I had to pay 399.00 if I wanted to get it. Didn't buy it. Well two months later my phone has broke and I am using an old used phone. It's not too bad, but the battery doesn't last long on it and of course it's not what I want. So, last Monday I went to Cingular to see if I could get one at the new discount price and they said I could pay 299.00 for one. Chris told me today that I could go get it for that price if I wanted to!!:) I want to, but I don't want to. I still have 3 months until I am offically due for an upgrade and I really don't want to wait that long to get it. But, I am not sure I want to pay 299.00 for it. However, I know I will LOVE it and it will be my new toy to play with. I love technology and having something new to play with will be SO much fun! SO, I am here to ask you this!! Please help me if you can even if you don't have an iphone and still have thoughts about it let me know!

Do you have an iphone? Do you like it and would you pay 299.00 for it?

Hopefully I will get some response tonight because my computer still isn't here and Chris has to take his laptop back to work tomorrow morning:(

Fertility Calendars

Several people have said that they don't know if they would tell others that they are trying to conceive. Which made me want to respond! IMAGINE that. Well, the reason I have decided to talk about it is most importantly because I think everyone on blogger land can help me! Everyone around here has such great advice. Plus I am so excited and I just don't see me telling my mom "Hey by the way Chris and I are trying to have a baby!" Because you see my mom is more excited probably than I am about the thought of me having a child and I don't know that she could contain herself if she knew that information. So here I am telling everyone out there my life plan. LOL that's alright I am Ok with that. Now don't think you will be the first to know that I am pregnant, because I don't think I will be able to keep that secret from my mom very long!

Ok, tonight I am going to try to take my vitamins with a snack and see if that helps. I have a very sensitive stomach which probably won't be good when I am pregnant, so I try to take all pills at night before I go to bed so that if my belly does hurt I will be asleep. Unfortunately that has woken me up the past few nights so we will try eating and taking them to see what happens. I will keep you updated on this.

I wanted to share with you all the website that I have found very useful. It is a fertility calendar fit to your ovualtion information. I have not yet broken down and bought any type of fertility book, but I am sure that if I am not pregnant by August I will have all of the books I can find! This is the Fertility Calendar I look at EVERY single day. At first I was uninterested in the site because it is so busy on the homepage, but after typing in all my information I found it to be very interesting. I like that it tells me some signs that may occur, but just because they do occur doesn't mean that you are pregnant. Because let me tell you something if you tell me that if my left pinky hurts I will be pregnant, then I bet you in five minutes my left pinky will be sore! Yes I am crazy I know! I will let you know soon if it has worked for me or not, but right now I enjoy reading and learning from all of the information that they have to offer! If you visit the site let me know what you think about it!

Oh and I PROMISE that my next post will have something crafty in it, because I have not posted a LO or other item that I have made in a while!

Sunday, June 7, 2009

I am so excited because tomorrow is my first day of summer vacation. The last few days of school went really well, but I am glad it is break time. Friday I spent the entire day moving my school supplies to my new classroom. Let me just tell you that my new classroom is TWICE the size of my old classroom. But, when you work in an open school building you sort of choose your walls and so I took out a lot of buildt up walls that the other teacher did not have in my classroom and that made a HUGE difference! I am really excited about my new space because I will be able to do so much in there that I couldn't do in my other classroom.

I have a lot of things that I want to get accomplished this summer. Here are some of my to do's this summer! Maybe I can mark them off as I get them done. I will post a link on my blog to this post so that you can see what I accomplish this summer! Here it is my official summer bucket list!!

*Clean REALLY, REALLY good ALL of the rooms in the
house, including the windows, baseboards, and
all of those places that we just don't clean often.
*Organize and get rid of A LOT of things/stuff that
we just don't need anymore!
*Complete 12 hours of school towards my masters so that
in the fall I will have 6 hours left until I am
offically done!
* Go on a nice, relaxing, and well deserved cruise.
* Get my classroom ORGANIZED and all put together and
ready for the first day of a new school year.
(Yes I do have to work a little over the summer!!)
*Relax by the pool as MUCH as possible!
* Complete my honeymoon scrapbook and at 25 other
los. I can do it!!
* Begin my Pregnancy album!

OK so my list is not too bad huh? And yes we are now trying to have a baby... and my husband is scared too death. I am as well, but I when are you not scared? I am sure I will be blogging about this a lot too. I have been debating whether or not to blog about it, but I am sure there are many of you out there that can give me EXCELLANT tips. For example, I can't take adult vitamins because they make me sick. However, my doctor said I could continue my flinstones as long as I took a folic acid pill with it. So, I have been taking them at night before I go to bed. Now I am waking up at two in the morning with terrible, terrible stomach cramps. Is that related to my vitamin? Should I take it at lunch with my meal? Has anyone else experienced this before? Please give me your advice if you have any!
